Why do some men just don't get it?

I mean it isn't hard to 'sayang' your gf when she's feeling upset/ irritated esp with what her bf has said. Why do some guys just want hurry change e topic and prays that she will stop feeling upset and throwing tantrums. And if she's still upset, why do some people just say 'ok la, i think i wanna slp already...gdnite'

Sometimes, girls just need a little of your time, your TLC, your sweet/ pleasing-to-the-ears words...are we really that hard to please? I really don't think so...
